ating nutritious foods, reducing fat
intake, and increasing the amount of
fiber eaten are all a part of dietetics and
nutrition. Dietetics is crucial to recovery
because food has a direct relationship in
maintenance and restoration of good
health. Professionals in dietetics are
concerned with treating illnesses,
rehabilitation, and meeting special
patient needs through good nutrition.
Some dietetic personnel are responsible
for planning patient meals and supervision
of food services. Because of increased
public interest in good health by
improving nutrition, there is a demand
for individuals to choose a career
in dietetics.
