iagnostic services provide the health care
team with the information to detect the
presence and extent of an injury, disease, or
impairment, and the means to treat the identified
problem. Diagnostic service workers are
trained to operate diagnostic equipment, keep
accurate records, and when appropriate,
protect the patient and themselves from any
harmful effects of a procedure. A career in
diagnostic services offers competitive
employment in a demanding field.
